Qajuqturvik Community Food Centre (QCFC) is seeking a Project Manager for its facility in the heart of Iqaluit. This is a full-time, one-year contract with the possibility of extension if funding permits.

The Project Manager leads food-related initiatives, manages relationships with stakeholders, and completes complex research and assignments efficiently. As such, in coordination with other staff and reporting to the Executive Director, this role involves:
  • conducting research and preparing research reports;
  • organizing stakeholder meetings and maintaining relationships;
  • facilitating focus groups with community members and other stakeholders;
  • ensuring that project deliverables are completed to a high quality and within scheduling and budget constraints;
  • managing all project components and working collaboratively with staff, community, and other stakeholders; and
  • serving as a representative for QCFC within the territory.
This role is flexible and may be developed with a candidate’s specific skill set in mind. In-territory travel will be required. Some overtime may be requested. The position requires the ability to use discretion and sensitivity and work in a confidential manner. 
A criminal record check and positive references may be requested. Fluency in Inuktut is a strong asset. In conformance with Article 23 of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement, preference will be given to Inuit applicants. Housing is not available. Annual salary is $95,000.
