Seeking an Administrative Coordinator

QCFC is seeking an Administrative Coordinator who is interested in becoming part of the Qajuqturvik team. 

QCFC strives to strengthen health, belonging and food sovereignty in Iqaluit. Our programming includes a daily community meal, equitable produce and country food distributions, a pre-employment training program, cooking classes for kids and youth, and a peer advocacy program.

The Administrative Coordinator will assist with the following tasks:

  • Provide administrative support for the Executive Director and Finance Director, including data entry and office organization
  • Developing content for QCFC’s social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter)
  • Assisting with planning special projects, community events, and fundraising activities

This role is flexible and may be developed with a candidate’s specific skill set in mind. Training will be provided. Some overtime may be requested. The position requires the ability to use discretion and sensitivity and work in a confidential manner. 

A criminal record check and positive references may be requested. Fluency in Inuktut is a strong asset. In conformance with Article 23 of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement, preference will be given to Inuit applicants. Housing is not available.
